COMPUTER NETWORK

Types of computer networks based on the scope and coverage:

a. LAN (Local Area Network)
A computer communications network in the area / location of a small (space / building / campus) are generally connected via a LAN cable media and among each other can be connected to a larger network using a router.


b. MAN (Metropolitan Area Network)
Network that connects two computer networks atauu more local (LAN) in a wider area with a range of 5-50 km. This network has the same technology as the LAN and are widely used by corporations (large trusts) or organization in a daaerah / town.

c. WAN (Wide Area Network)
Networks that connect multiple LAN / MAN from several regions / cities and even some countries, and geographically covers a very wide area to link between continents and supported by an organization with the use of so-called internet protocol network service provider (NSP), which
